Changes to Gas Oil

Important specification changes to Gas Oil

On 1 January 2011, the sulphur levels for Gas Oil will be further reduced. As a result, the new spec Gas Oil will contain up to a maximum of 7% BioDiesel. For most users, this will have no effect at all. However, users storing Gas Oil over long periods (ie standby generator tanks) may find that bacterial growth may occur in the tanks over time.

If you happen to run out of fuel, call into our Lincoln or Grantham Depots (Mon-Fri 8.00am – 4.30pm or Saturday 9am-12pm) for our emergency containers.

Chandlers Oil & Gas 20 litre drums comply with UN regulations for storing diesel, red diesel (gas oil), kerosene and lubricants.

£2.00 refund if cans are returned.

RETFORD BASED HEDLEY FUEL JOIN CHANDLERS

Chandlers acquired the Hedley fuel business this week including the offices and depot at Retford. This is great news: existing customers in Nottinghamshire can now expect a much enhanced delivery service and far shorter waiting times.

Hedleys had been in existence for over 30 years and geographically was a perfect fit for Chandlers with a great deal of customers in North Notts and West Lincolnshire.

The depot at Retford will store gas oil, derv and burning oil which are Chandlers three main products as well as the full range of lubricants.

Domestic and farming customers can now look forward to a winter with a much better service.

Crude prices rise on storm threat


Crude oil prices were higher as the National Hurricane Center said a new storm beginning to brew near Puerto Rico could strengthen and pose a threat to oil production in the Gulf of Mexico.

Oil spill threatens coast of Florida

The BP oil spill is now threatening the coast of Florida, according to experts.

The news comes after oil giant BP is attempting to stop the leak by cutting away the leaking riser pipe from the ruptured wellhead 5,000ft below the surface.
